Preventive Maintenance Schedules

Do-it yourself Maintenance Checklists!

Preventive maintenance is an important part of assets management. The goal of a successful preventive maintenance program is to establish consistent practices designed to improve the performance and safety of the equipment at your property.

Proper schedule of preventive maintenance helps to improve equipment life and avoid any unplanned maintenance activity and supports to prevent, detect, and correct conditions that could cause equipment malfunction. It includes measurement routines to ensure the quality of the operation of your equipment; cleaning; lubrication; inspections for damage and wear; testing; and replacement of worn components.

This preventive maintenance schedule checklists are intended to assist the customer through our GE Field Service Engineers. It provides all the essential information for safe maintenance, cleaning, inspections, testing and replacement tasks that are necessary to ensure the proper operation of GE supplied products and associated equipment. A successful preventive maintenance program is dependent on the cooperation of all the parties involved.  Engineering managers must rely on the knowledge, ideas, and contributions of all the maintenance personnel at the property.

Benefits of Preventive Maintenance

Increased productivity

-

Equipment that is well maintained does not break down. Problems are recognized earlier with the use of preventive maintenance plan.

Lower your maintenance costs

-

If an equipment goes down it can sometimes take a few days for a repair squad to get in there. Maintenance plan can help lower the chance of something like this happening. It reduces the chance of emergency repair calls.

Improve useful equipment life

-

An established preventive maintenance program will support the equipment to work at full efficiency creating profitable uptime, while reducing downtime.

Increase residual values

-

When you trade-in your equipment, or sell it to purchase a new equipment, well maintained equipment has proven to have higher values than equipment serviced on an “as needed” basis.

Enhance facility safety

-

Equipment failures can have catastrophic consequences. Properly maintaining your equipment will improve the operator safety, as well as those that work around your equipment.
