LV5 enables connecting up to 50% more modules in series vs. 1kV, larger PV arrays and less strings. It helps minimize the amount of equipment needed, thus improves balance of plant i.e. system cost.

The reduced amount of inverter stations and MV transformers increases system reliability and allows for lower O&M.
